This custom-crafted Medicine Drum is a union of precision sound engineering and sacred wood craftsmanship.

The body is formed from richly grained African Padauk, known for its deep reddish hue, tonal warmth, and use as natural medicine, with a long history of spiritual healing. Padauk is high in the mineral silica (aka glass), producing a clear, resonant voice with exceptional projection and sustain.

Framing the sides is Tiama wood, a West African hardwood valued for its stability and use in natural healing and spiritual work. Tiama offers a balanced acoustic response. Together, these woods create a drum that is both visually striking and sonically expansive, supporting heart–brain coherence.

Tuned to A Harmonic Minor at 432 Hz, this instrument offers a tonal landscape that feels both grounding and evocative. The harmonic minor scale introduces a subtle mysticism — a natural tension-and-release quality that invites introspection, meditation, and creative expression.
